Scott Goodwill – Filmmaker, Photographer, and Storyteller in Saskatoon
Scott Goodwill is a passionate filmmaker and photographer based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, dedicated to creating authentic, visually striking stories that connect people and communities. With a deep background in video production, photography, and storytelling, Scott has spent years honing his craft—not just capturing moments, but truly understanding the people, cultures, and histories behind them.
Currently working with Métis Nation–Saskatchewan, Scott’s work focuses on bringing Métis stories to life, ensuring they are told with depth, respect, and authenticity. His experience spans from large-scale productions to intimate documentary work, always prioritizing storytelling that goes beyond the surface.
Scott believes in collaboration, clarity, and trust. After years in agency work, he understands the importance of working in environments that foster creativity rather than stifle it. His transition to independent and community-driven projects has allowed him to focus on what truly matters—meaningful connections, honest storytelling, and visual work that makes an impact.
Beyond the lens, Scott’s biggest inspiration is his growing family. Taking risks, embracing change, and stepping into new opportunities have all been fueled by the desire to build a future that aligns with his values—one of creativity, integrity, and shared stories.
